Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Central The Church On The Hill is loving God and loving people. The vision of Central is to be spiritually faithful, community aware, and mission ready.

Pastoral Staff:

Our pastoral staff recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Corbit Magby, Senior Pastor

I am a loved man. I have a wonderful wife, Anita, four adult children, two son-in-laws and one daughter-in-law-to-be. My wife is my best friend and companion.

I love the Lord, and have given my life to teaching and preaching the Bible for the past 20+ years. I have served as a youth pastor to high school and junior high students. I have been associate, church planter, pastor and district executive. My passion is loving God and His people.

I am a graduate of Texas A&M, Bethel Seminary, and working on my doctorate from Western Seminary. I have served six years as an officer in the Infantry of the US Army. I have been an engineer and contractor in the State of Alaska. I like to read, fish, swim, and enjoy life with Anita. God has been good to us for almost three decades.

My life verse, or one of them, is “Be on the alert; stand firm in the faith; act like a man; be strong!” 1 Corinthians 16:13.

You cannot be the person you are supposed to be without knowing the God who created you , and His Son who will redeem you from sin. Keep trying on your own. When you get tired of hitting yourself over the head with a hammer, come to church. It feels so good when you put down the hammer, and learn who God wants you to be.

Mark Wagner, Pastor – Teacher

Pastor Mark is our jack of all trades. The most recent class he taught was a marriage class. This coming fall, he begins teaching a First Steps class that will cover the basics of Christianity and answer those tough questions you might have.

Brandon Smith, Youth Pastor

Pastor Brandon’s heart beats youth ministry. On any given Sunday you can find him back in the youth room, helping out at the cafe, or tinkering with some technology. He’s currently shepherding the youth from the 7th grade to the 12th grade. After moving up from California, he’s made his home here in the Northwest for just over a year now. In that year he has had the privilege to watch the students continue to mature and grow closer to God. He graduated Liberty University with a BA in Biblical Studies and married his high school sweetheart, Amber.

Joe Magby, Worship & Music Pastor

I have the best job in the church, which is to lead others in worship, mostly through music. As a result I get to spend many of my hours worshipping our Savior in music!
Then, on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, my extremely talented team and I come together and worship Him (sometimes as loudly as possible). I am truly blessed!

I am a Curtis Senior High graduate, have spent time in Bible School in England and also have studied at the prestigious University of Idaho. I have been playing drums for almost 11 years, piano for almost 2, and been singing for about a year. On most weekdays you’ll find me at one of the many pianos in the church, or in Pastor’s office terrorizing Renee, or in my own office (which is the only one that still doesn’t have a nameplate) working
on future setlists and re-writing music.

I believe firmly in Psalm 150, which says, “Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals!” Come, join us and have your passion renewed again!
